Front Desk Associate

Front Desk Associate Responsible for assisting guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Desk functions while maintaining the company's high standards of service and hospitality. Responsibilities Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times. Greet and register guests, assign rooms accommodating special requests, and assist with pre-registration and blocking of reservations. Have working knowledge of reservations, procedures, cancellations, and related policies. Handle guest check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently and in a friendly, professional manner. Ensure all cash, check, and miscellaneous departments are balanced at the end of each shift, following proper cash handling procedures. Communicate special requests, late check‑outs, and special needs areas to Housekeeping. Receive and transmit mail, phone, and written messages for guests. Answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Post room, food & beverage, and phone charges; compute guest bills (individual, group masters, city ledger) using PMS, collect payment, and make change per policy. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe Front Desk area. Understand hotel property, staff, services, operating hours, room types, rates, discounts, credit, and check‑cash policies. Know brand loyalty programs, benefits, and current promotions. Practice proper telephone etiquette. Develop thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Desire to exceed guest expectations. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Dependability. Computer proficiency.
