PURPOSE: The Custodian provides a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment to
ensure full and productive use of district facilities. REPORTS TO: Facility Director, Custodial Lead GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, and students.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform responsibilities without necessity of close supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to meet attendance standards to perform the essential functions of the job.

Pathogens Exposure Control Plan. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate all equipment safely and appropriately.
• Ensure that classrooms, student gathering areas, restrooms, corridors and office areas are cleaned
daily according to district specifications.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or
squeegees.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
• Report damaged school property immediately to the Principal and the Facility Director.
• Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building Principal or the Facility Director.

• Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling and turning.
• Requires climbing and balancing.
• Requires lifting, moving and carrying items up to 50 lbs.

body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
