Concrete Finishers - Primoris Heavy Civil - Shreveport, Louisiana

Job Summary Finishers will perform a variety of tasks related to the final stages of heavy civil construction projects in Louisiana, ensuring high-quality surface finishes on concrete and other materials. Job Responsibilities Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces using hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, and screeds. Apply curing compounds and protective sealers to finished concrete. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate finishes and grades. Cut, shape, and smooth concrete, using roughing and finishing tools. Monitor concrete for proper curing and address any imperfections. Assist with the setup and dismantling of forms and other construction equipment. Operate small construction equipment as needed (e.g., vibrators, power buggies). Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with other crew members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met. Perform other general labor duties as assigned on various heavy civil construction sites. Job Qualifications Proven experience as a Finisher or Concrete Finisher in heavy civil construction. Proficient in using hand and power tools for concrete finishing. Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications. Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing processes. Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Adherence to all safety regulations and practices. Reliable transportation to various job sites across Louisiana. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
