Polysomnography Technologist

The role involves performing polysomnography, scoring recordings, and maintaining testing equipment in a Sleep Disorders Center. Responsibilities include evaluating patients for sleep-related breathing disorders, seizure disorders, and narcolepsy , along with clerical work and documentation to support clinical and operational functions. Qualifications include graduation from a Respiratory Care Program, completion of the A-STEP program, or a CAAHEP-accredited program . Required credentials are RPSGT from BRPT, SDS from NBRC, or RST from the American Board of Sleep Medicine . Alternately, candidates must be Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners with NBRC registration and obtain certification within 1 year . Additional requirements include current CPR certification .
