The Water Resources Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager will work closely with other water resources staff and project managers to perform water resources analysis and design activities primarily in the delivery of municipal projects. This position will support our expanding Minnesota operations working in conjunction with other water resources staff across all AE2S geographies and our Water Resources Practice Leader by assisting with business development. Responsibilities Perform analysis and planning related to floodplain and stormwater management facilities utilizing XP/SWMM, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and other water resource engineering software. Provide professional services for water resources engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration. Provide review of stormwater management plans submitted to municipalities. Lead specific tasks of large projects or manage smaller projects and manage performance of assigned project team members including other Project Engineers, Engineers in Training, and Engineering Technicians. Maintain existing client relationships and pursue relationships with new clients. Assist the Water Resources Practice Leaderin identifying, evaluating, pursuing, and managing project opportunities. Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work. Assist in maintainingbudgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication. Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings. Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience inwater resources engineering. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS software. Knowledge of Minnesota design standards and permitting. Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading or participating in watershed master planning/drainage basin design plans, and floodplain studies and water supply planning. Strongcommunication skills with demonstrated ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a water resource related field. Demonstrated experience using SWMM software for urban stormwater management analysis and design. Knowledge of project financials. PhysicalQualifications Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear. May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload. May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
