Work Location: On the Road – East Valley, Arizona (Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Tempe, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, and Scottsdale)

We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for working directly with patients who have a variety of speech impairments, as well as working collaboratively with the rest of the healthcare team to ensure that our patients receive quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a patient's other medical and/or speech therapists to maintain and improve their speech and language skills.
• Foster meaningful connections with patients and their families, including working with patients' families to understand speech and language disorders.
• Teach appropriate strategies for developing language skills.
• Teach strategies for effectively using the voice and other communication tools.
• Teach strategies for swallowing effectively and developing healthy eating habits.
• Work with patients to develop their social skills, including teaching appropriate behavior in social environments and engaging in appropriate conversation with others.
• Work as part of a team; Recommendations: Connecting with people. Understanding body language. Speaking clearly.
