Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Pharmacy Technician role is available in Manlius, NY, offering a direct hire position with an immediate start. This role focuses on providing clinical support and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under pharmacist supervision, adhering to state pharmacy regulations and sterile compounding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile IV and infused medications in compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Manage call and shipment schedules to ensure continuous patient care.
• Collect, document, and communicate clinical and laboratory data with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams.
• Accurately enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy software system within regulatory guidelines.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room adhering to company policies and state regulations.
• Engage in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain current state Board of Pharmacy continuing education and complete annual re-credentialing.
• Receive and store medications and supplies; pick and package medications for shipment.
• Participate in inventory counts and formulary management compliance.
• Obtain additional licensure or registration as required to support branch services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an infusion setting preferred; IV hospital technician experience will also be considered.
• Current and active NY Pharmacy Technician license.
• PTCB certification in good standing.
• Familiarity with the CareTend pharmacy system is a plus.
