This specialist will function as a subject matter expert on Liability loss control activities and provide consultation and evaluation of General Liability exposures and controls for loss control, underwriting, sales, agents, policyholders, etc. The specialist will assist management and internal business units with evaluating General Liability risk potential by analyzing data, incident trending, and preparation of reports. Responsibilities for this position may be fulfilled remotely, but require periodic travel to our Fairfield, Ohio headquarters. Travel will also be required for account servicing and department functions. Travel Required: approximately 10 - 20%. Salary: The pay range for this position is $80,000-150,000.00 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.Be ready to:Provide consultative support for field and headquarter inquiriesConduct risk reviewsDevelop and deliver education programs and staff competency training modulesProvide high level consulting services to large policyholdersReview company claims and loss trends in order to initiate loss mitigation effortsRelay claims mitigation methods for use in lessons learned initiativesDevelop risk evaluation forms and policyholder servicesMonitor the effectiveness of risk evaluations and policyholder servicesEducate internal and external customers regarding current thinking in risk mitigationResearch, prepare and deliver reports, forums, and seminars about risk controlsMonitor and report on current government standards, consensus standards, trends, and best practicesParticipate in professional associations and specialty groups in order to stay technically current and report on emerging issuesPhysical capabilities: ability to travel independently by vehicle and/or by air while demonstrating effective use of time, planning, and expense management ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including prolonged computer use, with or without reasonable accommodation.Be equipped with:10 years or more of relevant Liability risk management experienceUndergraduate degree in safety engineering or related scienceProfessional designations such JD, CPCU, CSP, ARM, or similar risk management designations are preferredStrong consultative risk management experience assessing and servicing large liability policyholdersExperience with coaching and mentoring others on liability related issuesProficiency with data analysisAbility to develop and conduct training programs and present/speak to audiencesDemonstrated initiative to develop new or enhanced methods for loss controlsStrong business acumenStrong interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skillsStrong strategic thinking abilitiesStrong analytical skillsAbility to work independently to accomplish initiativesDemonstrated pursuit of continuing educationProficient in Microsoft Office tools and related softwareEnhance your talents.
