PPG Aerospace has a unique opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer! As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will research and develop activities at PPG for transparency heating systems. Key responsibilities include working with customers to define the electrical interface of the aircraft windshield heating system, creating design requirements for the windshield heating system, learning and applying different PPG heating system technologies available for AC or DC voltage-based aircraft, and assisting production personnel on the proper use of electrical measuring equipment. You will also assist product support personnel with electrical system questions on transparencies in service, assist qualification test engineers with the electrical setup of windows for testing, and interact with customers, sales, product support engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory agencies. You will actively participate in the PPG New Product Introduction (NPI) process during technical reviews and management gate reviews (including New Program Selection Meeting). You will remain technically aware of industry trends, government regulations, customer requirements, and PPG Aerospace Transparency’s manufacturing process requirements to personally contribute suggestions and recommendations.
