Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This position is located in Victoria, TX at a hospital facility. Night shift staffing is required. Please review the minimum qualifications and assignment details carefully before applying.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by the client.
• Valid ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required. ASCP preferred by client.
• Required Blood Bank, advanced Chemistry, and Hematology experience.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience required. 5 years preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with Medhost EHR; facility transitioning to Cerner. Blood bank uses Cerner.
• Willingness to comply with facility submission requirements, including providing permanent home address and SSN on the candidate tax page as requested by the client.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous travel or hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience working in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology molecular workflows preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Schedule pattern: 7 on / 7 off (includes weekdays and weekends with differing start times described by client).
• Rotating holidays. Maximum return-to-office (RTO) hours allowed: 10 hours as specified by client.
• No call required.
• No block scheduling.
• No 48-hour shifts.
• Floating required within the employer's system as requested by the client.
