Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Director

Client-facing Health Benefits ConsultantDirector-level Health actuarial consulting role in St. Louis, Missouri, within WTW's Financial Actuarial & Analytics community. You'll lead employer health and group benefits engagements, advise on plan design, funding, risk and pricing, and manage client relationships and junior colleagues. The role also includes analytics, reserves, business development and cross-functional delivery.Must Have8+ years' experience in professional services, ideally benefit consulting/brokerage or health underwriting/actuarial function of an insurance companyExperience working across multiple client segmentsAdvanced knowledge of broad health and welfare products & servicesKnowledge and experience using big data analytic techniquesExpert knowledge of cost avoidance, risk and funding strategiesProven ability to lead multiple clients/projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on timeExperience in expanding client relationships through selling add-on servicesComfort and ability to adapt to changing circumstances or demandsWell developed written and verbal communication skillsAbility to guide work of more junior colleagues and provide feedbackExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPointState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joiningEmployment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship not offeredStrongly PreferredRelevant financial experience and/or university degreeNice To HaveProgress towards completion of health actuarial designation or CEBS designationTools: Excel PowerPoint Other_BI_Tool Domain: Benefit consulting/brokerage or health underwriting/actuarial experience Health and welfare products & services Cost avoidance, risk and funding strategies
