About The Role As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations across plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. You will support the Engineering and Technical Services function by providing preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for equipment and systems. What You’ll Do Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life‑safety, and control systems. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, government agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Maintain an energy‑management program and ensure system efficiency. Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to maintain or exceed equipment life. Follow departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Review building systems—including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing—for proper operation. Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to complete complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines. Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, and influence consensus. Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within and beyond your team. Work within guidelines and policies. What You’ll Need High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience (or equivalent mix of education and experience). CFC certification preferred. Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift or carry 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information. Willingness to adopt new perspectives on solutions. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset. Basic math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial figures. Compensation Minimum $29.00 per hour, maximum $31.00 per hour, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses per CBRE benefit program.
