This is a key role for someone who is both technically strong and comfortable leading crews in the field. The right candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for installation teams, helping ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to Viviano’s standards. Position Summary We are looking for a working technical leader who can bridge the gap between field execution and business performance. The Field Manager will support installation crews in the field, troubleshoot technical issues, inspect job quality, coach installers, coordinate with sales when scope or field conditions change, and help drive consistency across the installation department. This person should be proactive, solutions-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable in residential HVAC systems. The goal is to improve first-time completion, reduce callbacks, protect gross margin, and ensure customers receive a high-quality installation experience. What You’ll Do Technical Field Support / Quality Control Review active job sites to ensure installations meet company quality standards, code requirements, and best practices Serve as the first point of contact when installation crews encounter technical issues or unexpected field conditions Provide hands‑on support on complex or demanding installations as needed Identify quality issues in real time and address them directly with installers in the field Help ensure jobs are completed correctly the first time and reduce preventable callbacks Pre-Job Planning / Technical Preparation Review the daily installation schedule to identify jobs with added complexity, unusual system configurations, or higher execution risk Proactively brief installers before challenging jobs, including recommended approaches, potential complications, and best practices Confirm crews have the right materials, equipment, information, and job notes before heading to the site Help prevent avoidable delays, rework, or customer issues through stronger front‑end planning Sales / Installation Coordination Serve as the operational link between the installation team and the sales team Contact the Comfort Advisor when field conditions reveal a scope issue, discrepancy, or missing information Loop sales back in when customer communication, re‑scoping, or expectation‑setting is required Help ensure clean handoffs from sale to installation and a strong customer experience Standards Enforcement / Process Compliance Ensure installers consistently follow Viviano’s installation procedures, safety protocols, and workmanship standards Document and address deviations from standard practices in a constructive and timely manner Help develop and improve installation SOPs, field checklists, and quality control processes Reinforce consistency across crews and job types Installer Development / Coaching Identify installer strengths, weaknesses, and development needs through direct field observation Provide on‑the‑job coaching and training to address recurring quality issues or skill gaps Coordinate or deliver structured training when department‑wide patterns are identified Support onboarding of new installation technicians and ensure they understand Viviano’s standards from day one What We’re Looking For 5+ years of relevant residential HVAC installation experience Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation practices, codes, and troubleshooting Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring installers in the field Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide practical solutions on‑site Strong understanding of job quality, callback reduction, customer experience, and installation efficiency Ability to review job details in advance and identify potential risks before crews arrive on‑site Clear communication skills with installers, sales team members, customers, and company leadership Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside crews when needed Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs, crews, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a Lead Installer, Installation Supervisor, Field Supervisor, Service Manager, or Installation Manager Experience supporting residential replacement, retrofit, and changeout work Familiarity with installation checklists, SOPs, quality control processes, and field training programs Track record of reducing callbacks, improving crew performance, and protecting job profitability Comfort working closely with sales teams to resolve scope gaps and customer communication issues Bonus Opportunity In addition to base salary, the Field Manager is eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to measurable installation department outcomes, including: Callback Rate Bonus opportunity tied to maintaining department callback rates at or below defined thresholds. This reflects the Field Manager’s impact on quality control, installer training, and first‑time completion. Gross Profit Margin Bonus opportunity tied to the gross profit margin performance of the installation department. This rewards efficient job execution, waste reduction, proper planning, and protection of company margins. Work Environment / Location On‑site role supporting Viviano Heating & Air’s residential HVAC installation department Regular local travel to customer homes and active installation job sites Hands‑on field leadership role with time split between job site visits, crew support, pre‑job planning, training, and coordination with operations and sales Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with additional time as job demands require. #J-18808-Ljbffr
