APU/Repair Service Technician

Summary Aviation technician troubleshoots, repairs, and/or overhauls, and tests aircraft components, including the removal and reinstallation of all sub-components. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Responsibilities Disassemble, clean, inspect, and test components serviced and parts of the repair station manual. Apply technical knowledge of aircraft components to determine equipment malfunctions. Restore equipment condition and/or operation with required expertise. Resolve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturer’s manuals. Enter documentation for work performed in work orders. Provide other duties as needed and assigned. Understand and perform functions in accordance with FAA, EASA, AS9110, and ISO9001 Standards. Qualifications 36-150 APU Series Experience Preferred. High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred. Minimum four years of actual and recent experience in the repair, modification, maintenance, and overhaul, testing of APU. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross‑functional groups. Must be able to read dials/gauges, and identify small objects and hand tools. Language Skills Fluent in English. Foreign Language skills desirable. Ability to write routine reports and document maintenance functions. Ability to communicate effectively across mediums, audiences, and situations. Mathematical Skills Above average. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
