Drive firmwide attorney recruiting strategy and execution at a premier law firm.

Allen Matkins, a premier law firm with a strong market reputation amid continued growth, is seeking a Director of Legal Recruiting to lead firmwide attorney recruiting strategy and execution. This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm's continued expansion while maintaining a thoughtful, high-quality approach to talent acquisition.

Reporting to the Chief Recruiting & Professional Development Officer, the Director of Legal Recruiting will serve as a strategic partner to firm leadership and practice groups, overseeing entry level recruiting, lateral associate hiring, and a highly visible summer associate program. The firm values sound judgment, initiative, and a solutions-oriented approach to complex recruiting needs.

The role in action:

Lead law student recruiting, campus outreach, and the summer associate program, with responsibility for strategy, experience, and outcomes.
Provide strategic oversight of lateral associate recruiting, partnering closely with practice leaders on hiring needs and workforce planning.
Serve as the central point of coordination across recruiting processes, including offer strategy, search firm relationships, and attorney integration.
Manage and develop the recruiting team while partnering with Professional Development, DEI, and administrative teams to align recruiting with broader talent initiatives.

We are seeking candidates who:

Hold a bachelor's degree and bring 10 plus years of progressive recruiting experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
Have led or overseen entry level and lateral attorney recruiting, partnering closely with senior leaders and practice groups.
Bring sound judgment and credibility, with a solutions-oriented approach and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
