Mechanical Engineer I

Overview TSC is seeking a Entry Level Mechanical Engineer based in Huntsville, AL. This position supports the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operation. Responsibilities Develop, modify, and evaluate electronic packaging for use in Mil/Aero applications. Model components and systems and create drawing packages for fabrication. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) techniques on new and existing products to produce optimal design and manufacturing solutions. Support vibration and thermal testing. Maintain responsibility of product from concept to production. Interface with customers and vendors to ensure product/component performance meets customer specifications and appropriate standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Other acceptable majors include mathematics or physics. US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Some proficiency with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro‑E, or other 3D modeling software. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
