Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - First Assist

Schedule: 4x10 day shifts. On-call and weekend call coverage required.
Assignment Details: Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (traveler may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred.
- Community hospital experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred.
- Experience with cardiothoracic procedures and endovascular procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with various cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and endovascular procedures.
- Assist with ECMO insertion/decannulation and VAD cases.
- Practice aseptic/sterile technique and handle instruments and specimens according to universal protocol.
- Adhere to radiation/laser safety and isolation precautions.
Compliance / Notes: A compact license must be in hand at submission. Background checks will be conducted.
