Job Description


NSS is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment and facilities.
• Works from manual, prints, and schematics to rebuild, repair and install equipment.
• Runs necessary air, water and electric to equipment.
• Diagnoses problems for rebuilding and installations while ordering necessary plans.
• Performs welding and fabrication as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Monitor inventory of critical spares and tool crip inventory
• Process orders for parts and tooling

• Dependability- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
• Quality- Shows knowledge of NSS quality policies and procedures as well as demonstrates awareness of EMS, policy statement and company initiatives regarding IS and relative to job specific functions. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve quality.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 2-4 years of experience working in a maintenance position (Heading maintenance experience preferred but not necessary)
• Knowledge of database software and maintenance software.
