Senior Financial AnalystThe Financial Analyst Team in Enterprise Supplier Management supports all aspects of our third party lifecycle, from negotiating high value deals to measuring the impact of our supply chain on our communities. As a Senior Financial Analyst in ESM, you will be responsible for analyzing our multi-billion dollar supply chain spend, providing clear recommendations throughout the negotiating and contracting process. Additionally, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and grow our understanding of our spend with diverse-owned businesses. You will partner across the team to execute and enhance key reporting challenges and processes, drive automation, and provide thought leadership over a wide range of topics.The role will require working with leadership, third party managers, contract managers, sourcing teams, other financial analysts, and business customers who have a wide variety of backgrounds, styles, and skill sets. This role requires strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsPartner with stakeholders and leadership to assess the financial implications of key supplier negotiationsDetermine the impact of our supply chain on public-facing emissions and diverse supplier spend commitmentsDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to a variety of audiencesResponsibilities:Partner with ESM and LOB customers to drive optimal pricing outcomesResearch financial and economic trends for specific projects and suppliers, develop cost models to be used in individual area analysis and make business recommendationsEffectively challenge and recommend purchasing strategies and decisions with grounded analysis, insightful questions, and clear communicationCreate executive-ready presentations to communicate key findings, analysis, and recommended actionFacilitate transparency and knowledge sharing across Supplier CategoriesPartner with ESM stakeholders on various automation efforts utilizing a variety of skills and tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and Looker StudioIndependently manage and prioritize workloadBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 3 years of experience in financial analysisAt least 3 years of experience with financial modelingAt least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides or a combination of bothPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in FinanceChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license4+ years of experience in financial analysis4+ years of experience with financial modeling3+ years of experience in strategic analysis and planningStrong learning agility; quick to pick up new concepts and implement actionProven business relationship, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skillsDemonstrated independent problem solving and strategic thinking abilitiesStrong teamwork skills and ability to positively contribute to overall success of the teamAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystRichmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystWilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
