Surgical Technologist / OR Tech

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support across a large multi-OR environment serving both adult and pediatric patients for elective and emergency procedures
• Assist across a variety of service-specific surgical specialties
• Float to different areas within the surgical services department as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately one call shift per week and one weekend per month
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to beginning assignment; module time is recorded via facility report
• Document and chart using EPIC (required)

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required, OR documented experience as a surgical tech prior to 2015
• Active New York State license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, multi-OR surgical environment
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including both elective and emergency cases
• Comfort with floating across departments or service lines
