Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in Bakersfield, California.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Apr 27, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment performing cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, and other nuclear medicine studies.Details\n \n Acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine department with 1 scanner\n Common studies include cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying\n Average of 5–10 scans/studies per day\n Uses GE equipment, Cerner EMR, RadNet, and Merge Unity PACS\n 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM\n Rotating weekday on-call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekend call\n Rotating on-call holiday coverage required\n May be required to float to a sister facility approximately 6.5 miles away\n Requirements\n \n Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience\n Active BLS and CA Nuclear Medicine Technology License (NMTL) required; pending licenses or certifications will not be accepted\n License required if applicable\n A driver's license is required for consideration\n 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire\n Additional Information\n \n Teal scrubs required\n Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered\n 12-hour orientation provided\n Radiologist is on-site; department is led by a Lead Tech\n No RRAs are utilized in this department\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-693429.
