Job Title: General Laborer $17-19hr

Job Description

The General Laborer performs a variety of hand assembly, packaging, and production support tasks within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, transporting materials and finished products throughout the facility, and supporting both production and inventory operations while following all safety and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand assembly and packaging tasks according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, sort, and stage materials for production and shipping.
• Inspect products for quality, identifying defects and promptly reporting any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and operational guidelines at all times.
• Assist machine operators and other production team members as needed to meet production goals.
• Move materials manually or using pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment when required.
• Support inventory organization, including labeling, stacking, and arranging products in the warehouse.
• Contribute to efficient warehouse operations by helping with material flow and storage.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of warehouse experience in a production or distribution environment.
• Ability to lift and safely handle up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Experience performing general labor tasks such as assembly, packaging, and material handling.
• Basic understanding of production processes and machine operation support.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail for product inspection and quality control.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Reliability and punctuality for shift-based work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production and warehouse team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working around printing operations, including printing presses, flexographic printing, or flexo press environments.
• Familiarity with general production and machine operation support.
• Comfort using pallet jacks and other basic material-handling equipment.
• Willingness to assist in various tasks across production and warehouse functions as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse facility that supports printing and production operations. Work is performed on structured shifts: first shift runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and second shift runs from 4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with a shift premium. The environment involves standing for extended periods, moving materials, and working around production equipment such as printing presses and flexographic printing machinery. Team members use pallet jacks and other material-handling tools, follow established safety procedures, and work in a setting that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in New Berlin,WI.
