Our client in Cedar Falls, Iowa is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Dining Services Assistant to help create a welcoming dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests. In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service, support food service operations, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment.

Position Summary

The Dining Services Assistant is responsible for providing excellent service, assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting daily dining operations. Successful candidates enjoy working with people, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, and concerns.
• Serve as a positive representative of Dining Services for students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
• Communicate customer feedback, concerns, and needs to dining leadership.
• Assist with food production, preparation, and service activities.
• Help set up serving stations and assist with food and beverage service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining dining facilities, equipment, utensils, and tableware.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure efficient operations.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality service.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching.
