Health Assurance & Logistics Coordinator

Overview AcuFast is seeking a Health Assurance & Logistics Coordinator to support health compliance, biosecurity protocols, and regulatory documentation associated with breeding stock shipments across the Midwest. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, with collaboration with the Senior Manager of Health Assurance, this role coordinates diagnostic testing, health documentation, and regulatory approvals required prior to animal shipment and coordination of breeding stock shipments. The role supports efficient shipments while maintaining high standards of animal health, compliance, and biosecurity. This role operates in a hybrid work environment with working hours aligned with diagnostic laboratory reporting timelines to support timely health documentation and shipment coordination. Responsibilities Health Compliance & Documentation Coordinate required surveillance testing and monitor diagnostic submissions to ensure results are received on schedule. Maintain and build organized records of testing results, vaccination schedules, and herd health documentation. Support preparation of vet-to-vet approvals, electronic health certificates and state import permits, and other required pre-shipment health documentation. May occasionally be called upon to help support with export projects. Responsible for creating and distributing Bill of Lading documentation and trailer GPS reports upon verification of required negative health testing and shipment compliance requirements. Biosecurity & Regulatory Compliance Track and assist with internal and external biosecurity audits. Support compliance with company biosecurity protocols and regulatory standards. Assist with interstate and export shipment documentation including permits and regulatory paperwork. Shipment Coordination Work closely with Logistics and Health Assurance teams to ensure shipment schedules align with health compliance requirements. Communicate with diagnostic laboratories, veterinarians, and internal teams to track testing timelines. Identify potential compliance or documentation risks and escalate issues when necessary. Operational Support Support broader health assurance initiatives and cross-functional projects as required. Assist in maintaining organized records to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and solve operational challenges. High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Experience in livestock production, animal health, diagnostics, biosecurity, or logistics coordination preferred but not required. Alignment with AcuFast’s core values.
