DTF Print Production Technician

$15 - $22 per hour

16 Creative, LLC

Job Description

About Us
16 Creative is a veteran-owned branding & merchandise agency in Gulf Shores, AL. We make custom apparel, hats, and promotional products for local businesses and corporate clients. We also produce everything in-house for our own flagship brand, Bad Ass Hat Co (badasshatco.com).

The Role
The selected candidate will oversee our commercial DTF (Direct-to-Film) printer operations including print production, art preparation and routine machine mainteance. Candidate may also be asked to assist with our heat presses during times of high volume in both apparel and hats.

What You'll Do

Run the commercial Gladiator DTF printer from start to finish: printing, applying powder, curing, and checking quality
Prepare customer and in-house artwork for print: check resolution, clean up edges, separate colors, size and lay out designs (gang sheets) to reduce film waste.
Catch problems with files before they print, not after
Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled maintenance: clean print heads, check ink and white-ink circulation, run nozzle checks, and fix common problems
Track ink, film, and powder supplies and flag when we're running low
Help with heat pressing transfers onto hats and apparel as needed
Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe
Work with the team to hit deadlines for clients and Bad Ass Hat Co orders

What We're Looking For

Experience running DTF, DTG, sublimation, screen printing, or other commercial printing equipment.
Basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator or the ability to effectively work with our in-house art department.
A sharp eye for detail: you notice when a color is off or an edge is rough
Mechanical ability and comfort troubleshooting equipment
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to handle several jobs at once
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Bonus Points

Experience with Barudan (or similar) commercial embroidery operations
Experience with Aeon (or similar) laser engraving machines
Experience with Mimaki (or similar) UV Printers
Experience with RIP software
Experience pressing hats & apparel
Military background: we're veteran-owned and value what you bring

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Some flexibility is possible.

Pay & Benefits

$15–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Health insurance available
On-the-job training on our equipment and processes

Location
On-site in Gulf Shores, AL. This is not a remote position.

How to Apply
Send your resume and a few photos or samples of print or decoration work you've done to [EMAIL]. Tell us which equipment you've run. We'd rather see your work than read a cover letter.

16 Creative is an equal opportunity employer.
