Packaging Line Production Technician

Your Day

Step onto the production floor ready to keep product moving. You’ll rotate through packaging and line stations, set up and run bagging equipment, check finished goods for quality, remove any out-of-spec items, and prepare materials for reprocessing. As you grow, you’ll stack finished 50-pound bags on pallets, learn forklift operations through company-provided training and certification, and help keep the area clean, safe, and organized. You’ll partner closely with teammates and supervisors to meet production and quality goals, following established procedures every step of the way.

Schedule & Shifts

• Schedule: 2-2-3
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:10 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:10 AM

Compensation & Growth

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour
Night Shift Differential: Additional $1.50 per hour
Progression: Up to $19.36 per hour after 3 months, based on skills learned

Skills-Based Pay Structure

• Entry Level: $16.00/hour
• Bagger Level 2: $17.60/hour
• Master Bagger: $19.36/hour
• Night Shift: Additional $1.50/hour shift differential

What You’ll Handle

• Operate production and bagging machinery safely.
• Hit daily production and quality targets.
• Inspect packaging for defects and remove nonconforming products.
• Open and sort rejected bales or bags for reprocessing.
• Hand-stack pallets with finished 50-pound bags as needed.
• Operate a forklift after completing company-provided training and certification.
• Load, move, and store materials and finished goods.
• Keep your workstation clean and organized; follow safety, quality, and production standards.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors; take on additional production tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Meet goals and timelines; communicate clearly and think critically.
• Mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus.
• Eligible to obtain forklift certification (training provided).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift/move 50–60 pounds.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Use hands/arms for reaching, handling, and operating equipment.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl as needed.
• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment.
