Project Accountant

Project Accounting ManagerWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to manage the day-to-day financial operations of a growing construction company. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, managing project-related accounting processes, and supporting leadership with reliable financial information.The position is hands-on and focused on the operational side of construction accounting. Responsibilities include processing invoices, maintaining project budgets, billing customers, and ensuring all financial data related to projects is accurate and properly recorded. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a construction company environment and a strong understanding of the unique accounting processes associated with the industry.This role may begin as a hybrid position but is expected to transition into a primarily in-office role over time.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices and maintain accurate accounts payable recordsGenerate and manage customer invoices and accounts receivableMaintain and track project budgets and job cost reportsManage accounting records within ComputerEase softwareEnsure accurate coding of costs using construction division codesTrack and reconcile project change orders and budget adjustmentsMaintain organized financial documentation and reportingSupport leadership with accurate financial data related to projects and company performanceWork closely with operations and project management teams to ensure financial accuracy on projectsQualificationsPrior accounting experience within a construction company is requiredStrong understanding of construction accounting processes, including job costing, division codes, and change ordersExperience using ComputerEase accounting software is strongly preferredExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage high volumes of financial transactions accuratelyStrong communication and collaboration skillsSelf-starter who can work independently and maintain reliable financial processesCompensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
