Job Type: Full Time

Pay $15 per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years of age Reports to: Director of Catering Operations, Banquets Department

As a valued member of the Banquets Department, you will prepare for food and beverage service in a variety of settings within the resort, and will serve our guests at a variety of events.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare function rooms for banquet service: tablecloths, table decorations, silverware and condiments etc.
• Serve at various banquet functions, indoors and outdoors; serve non-alcoholic drinks, bring food to guests at table or serve on a buffet line.
• Clean and clear function rooms after event.
• Complete all side work responsibilities as directed by management.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items using appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist other servers when needed.
• Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
• Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
• Conducts him/herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times.
• Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission
• Actively listens to others.
• Is respectful of peers, supervisors, managers and co-workers.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
• If weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is required
