IT Field Engineer Department: Response Center Employment Type: Full Time Location: Napa Compensation: $33.65 - $43.25 / hour Description Location: This role is a Field Engineer position with occasional support desk responsibilities as needed. Candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be available to provide onsite support to local clients throughout the region (SF/East Bay/North Bay/South Bay areas), including periodic travel to client locations that may require extended drive times. Purpose--What You'll Do You’ll be both the frontline hero and trusted guide for our clients, helping them succeed through technology that simply works. Your days will include: Heading onsite for hands‑on installations, configurations, and troubleshooting as needed. This includes installing wired and wireless networking equipment, setting up workstations, installing and updating software, troubleshooting issues, and more. Ability to support cloud‑based infrastructure platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. Ability to support and maintain on‑premises Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange environments. Reliable transportation and current driver’s license Strong aptitude for customer service Able and willing to collaborate as part of a team Ability to self‑schedule and project plan for small engagements Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements Respond to emergency situations effectively, maintaining poise and focus Preferred: Certifications: CompTIA (A+, Network, Security), Microsoft Associate/Expert, VMware, Apple, Citrix Bachelor’s degree (in a related field) or equivalent experience Join a Team That’s All‑In on Helping You Thrive.
