Position Overview: A Distribution Center Supervisor oversees the efficient operation of their functional area within the warehouse to include processing of incoming merchandise or freight and related documentation ensuring merchandise is ready for distribution to the stores.

Responsibilities include developing and supporting a team-oriented environment, ensuring department level compliance with safety and facility maintenance, directing work of the team to meet daily needs, proactively establishing and carrying out shrinkage control disciplines, effectively communicating with other supervisors and managers, completing internal reporting processes timely and accurately, interviewing, selecting, and training associates, accurately maintaining associate's hours, and additional responsibilities as business needs arise.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years' experience in a supervisory role in a mid-size to large distribution center, ability to manage in a professional work environment, ability to maintain confidential information, ability to exercise sound judgment, efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions, ability to learn and communicate new information and processes, outstanding interpersonal and listening skills, basic Microsoft Office skills including Excel, and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements include frequently using ladders and stairs, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, ability to stand for extended periods, ability to bend and twist frequently, ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally, ability to see, hear, and speak regularly, and physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
