About the job Senior CAD Designer
Job Summary:
- Develop accurate CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical plans for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings related to construction systems.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards .
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-specific programs to create detailed designs.
- Assist in material take-offs and cost estimations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all drawings and revisions.
- Provide support during the construction phase, ensuring accuracy and resolving design issues as needed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the commercial construction industry .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software .
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction systems , materials, and installation methods.
- Understanding of building codes, construction standards, and safety regulations .
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills .
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents and specifications .
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities .
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines .
- Experience with BIM modeling and 3D design tools .
- Familiarity with estimating software for construction materials.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Certifications in construction or CAD software are a plus.
