Travel RN - Med/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Infusion unit position requiring an IL RN license and experience with cell therapy patients. Requirements Active IL RN license required in hand ONS immunotherapy provider card required Cell therapy experience preferred Less than 2 years of experience accepted Nursys report required, pulled within the last 2 weeks No license disciplinary actions or hits allowed Responsibilities Outpatient infusion/cellular therapy unit with 5 treatment bays Cares for pre- and post-transplant cell therapy patients, often with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend required with no holiday coverage Agency nurses will not administer chemotherapy Administer research drugs and supportive therapies including hydration, electrolytes, blood transfusions, and IV antibiotics Perform patient assessment, monitoring, intervention, and education Perform IV placement, central line care, and lab draws and monitoring RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with none allowed during the first or last week of the contract Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Former UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month break in service before returning as a traveler Any schedule or block scheduling requests must be submitted with the initial application and discussed during the interview Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-758399 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
