Full Time CashierThe primary responsibilities of the Cashier position are to maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and cash register operations.The major responsibilities for this position include:Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standardsGreet customers as they enter the storeAnswer phone callsTactfully and pleasantly deal with customersMaintain awareness of all promotions and advertisementsAccurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registersMaintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stockedPerform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store managementSolicit customers to open an Ace Rewards cardIssuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customersMinimum RequirementsThe minimum requirements for this position include the following:Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferredExperience in a retail environment either in cashier, sales, or back officeA commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfactionAbility to process information and/or merchandise through register systemAbility to communicate with associates and customersSolid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learnKnowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word, and Excel a plusExceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskAbility and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the businessThe minimum physical requirements for this position include:Ability to stand for an extended period of timeMove and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forthJob responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
