Integration Engineer (HL7/FHIR)

Salary: $65,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect, or a comparable integration engine such as Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, or Azure FHIR
• Proficiency with HL7 v2.x message types including ORM, ORU, ADT, and SIU, as well as FHIR R4
• Experience integrating medical devices, including LIS/ASTM, DICOM, and laboratory analyzer connectivity
• Proven experience deploying interfaces across multiple sites in a healthcare environment
• Scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java for building custom Mirth Connect transformers
• Familiarity with fertility or reproductive medicine EHR platforms such as eIVF or Artemis, or similar systems is a plus
• Experience with cloud-based integration tools such as Azure Health Data Services and FHIR APIs is a plus

• Design, build, and maintain the technical interfaces connecting Artemis to laboratories, medical devices, and external clinical systems
• Take clean specifications from the Clinical Implementation Analyst and manage the full lifecycle from interface development through go-live testing and post-launch stabilization
• Build and support core interfaces between the Artemis EHR and external clinical systems
• Protect data integrity, message reliability, and interface continuity across all onboarded clinic locations
• Design and implement HL7 v2 and FHIR interfaces using Mirth Connect or a similar integration engine
• Configure blood analyzer interfaces for devices such as Roche analyzers, including serial numbers, network settings, and DICOM configuration
• Set up USS/ultrasound DICOM and HSG system interfaces based on the clinic device inventory
• Integrate external lab partners such as LabCorp, Quest, Natera, and Fulgent by coordinating connection setup and testing with their IT teams
• Perform end-to-end interface testing, validate messages, and complete go-live sign-offs for each clinic
• Monitor live interfaces during stabilization and troubleshoot, triage, and resolve post-launch issues
