About the Role: The Assistant Service Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Service Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the service department. This position is responsible for overseeing daily service activities, managing staff performance, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Assistant Service Manager acts as a key liaison between customers, technicians, and management to facilitate smooth communication and timely resolution of service issues. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Assistant Service Manager contributes to achieving departmental goals, increasing customer loyalty, and driving business growth. Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a service or customer-facing role within a related industry.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a service environment.
- Strong understanding of service operations and customer service principles.
- Proficiency with service management software and basic computer applications.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive, equipment, or technical service industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management and budgeting processes.
- Certification in service management or customer service excellence.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the service department to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Supervise and support service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests professionally and promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with technicians and parts departments to ensure availability of resources and efficient workflow.
- Monitor service metrics and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Support the Service Manager in budgeting, inventory control, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Facilitate communication between customers, service staff, and management to ensure transparency and effective problem resolution.
