Days 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing
- At least 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
- 1+ year of critical care nursing experience required
Certifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Job Description
The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit. The emergency department offers a full spectrum of emergency care alongside a dedicated Chest Pain Center.
The RN will:
- Conduct patient assessments upon admission and throughout their stay
- Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood as required
- Provide patient education
- Document nursing care actions, educational efforts, observations, and patient responses
The RN must be willing and able to take on charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed.
Additional Requirements
- Must not have been a previous employee
- Travelers with actions or hits on their license or background will not be considered
