Job Title: Steel Tank Cleaner

Employment Type: Full Time 

Location: Goldsboro, NC

Pay: $15-16 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7am-4pm

Position Summary:

Responsible for cleaning and preparing steel tanks and related equipment for production, inspection, maintenance, or coating. Performs physically demanding work while following safety and quality procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize production areas, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms daily.
• Sweep, mop, and remove debris from shop floors, especially around welding, grinding, and fabrication areas.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of industrial and office waste properly.
• Wipe down work surfaces, machinery exteriors, and high-touch areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in locker rooms and employee rest areas.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning materials.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Assist with organizing tools, equipment, and materials as directed.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including the use of PPE (personal protective equipment).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in a manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
