Oak Animal Hospital, a growing client‑focused veterinary practice, seeks an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to guide the technician team, support doctors, and elevate patient care standards. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support RVTs and veterinary assistants Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture Act as a clinical resource and role model on the floor Clinical Duties Perform advanced nursing skills including anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, radiology, laboratory procedures, and dental cleanings Oversee patient care from intake through discharge Ensure accurate medical records and client communication Uphold high standards for patient safety and comfort Operations & Compliance Maintain and enforce hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance Assist with inventory management, equipment maintenance, and controlled drug logs Collaborate with leadership on workflow improvements and quality control Qualifications Active RVT/LVT/CVT license in California Minimum 3–5 years of clinical veterinary experience Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong anesthesia, dentistry, and technical skills Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities Ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced environment Benefits $27–$30/hr DOE Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays License and professional dues reimbursement Employee pet care discounts Supportive leadership and growth opportunities 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
