Starting Hourly Rate $26.00 USD per hour

About the role:

A role in a Distribution Center means being on the very front lines of getting product to the guest as fast as possible-a critical differentiator and one of the most essential Logistics functions. You'll reach beyond the bounds of your team to partner across the enterprise and find solutions to support the business. Whether it's through focusing on our regional or upstream distribution centers, import warehouses, or fulfillment and flow centers, you'll have a chance to positively impact thousands of fellow team members and Target guests worldwide, further differentiating Target from all the rest. As a Yard Driver, you will drive and operate tractors/trailers in the yard, in a safe and efficient manner, while making trailer moves to doors and locations in the yard. You must be able to skillfully back up trailers into all types of dock and yard locations, as well as hook and unhook trailers. You will need to maintain communication with Dispatch, Yard Coordinators and Operation Managers via the radio. This work will also require attention to detail and a focus on safety procedures and protocols, including the performance of routine safety inspections of vehicles. In this role, it is also vital to complete job tasks assigned accurately and on time.

About you:

• Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license for state employed
• Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
• Able to lift and carry materials/equipment up to 30 lbs frequently and able to lift and carry equipment up to 60 lbs infrequently
• Able to work independently, quickly and safely
• Ability to problem solve and escalate when needed
• Knowledge of the functions of tractors and trailers and their systems
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Able to operate all equipment safely
• Able to read trailer information such as trailer numbers, safety procedures and protocols
• Basic math skills
• Ability to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training
• CDL is preferred, but not required

Tuesday-Friday: 6am-4pm

Tuesday-Friday: 4pm-2am

Tuesday-Friday: 9am-5pm

Saturday-Monday: 6am-6pm

Saturday-Monday: 6pm-6am
