Job Overview A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Richmond, VA, to manage a substantive caseload and enhance their expertise in a supportive environment. Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other key documents. Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and draft objections as needed. Attend court hearings, both virtual and in-person. Act as a liaison between the firm, clients, courts, and trustees. Handle time-sensitive escalations and update client systems accurately. Requirements Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Active Virginia Bar Membership in good standing. Three years of bankruptcy experience preferred but not required. Comfort with high-volume, deadline-driven environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel for hearings and court appearances. Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality. Education Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Virginia Bar Membership. Skills Strong organizational skills. Effective communication with diverse audiences. Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation is a bonus.
