Insurance Coverage Associate – Michigan (fully remote)

Role Description

Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate to work closely with our Chicago-based Coverage Group. This is a fully remote position , but candidates must be located in Michigan .

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of insurance coverage experience and a strong background in analyzing complex coverage issues. Responsibilities will include drafting coverage opinions and coverage position letters, as well as handling insurance coverage litigation on a nationwide basis.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining close collaboration with attorneys and colleagues across offices.

Our Chicago Coverage Group is a close-knit team of partners and associates who value teamwork, mentorship, and collegiality. This position offers significant hands-on experience and the opportunity to work directly with experienced coverage attorneys who are committed to supporting professional growth and development. Attorneys in this role will be entrusted with meaningful responsibility and will have the opportunity to develop expertise in sophisticated insurance coverage matters and litigation nationwide.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of coverage experience; commercial general liability, commercial auto, professional liability and/or D&O policies a plus
\n
• JD from an accredited university
\n
• Excellent research and writing skills
\n
• Admitted in the State of Michigan
\n

Compensation

\n
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $170,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
\n
• Associates are also eligible to participate in the firm’s performance-based Associate Bonus Program, awarded at the firm’s discretion.
\n
