About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Venue Technology Manager in Los Angeles to manage technology for large‑scale events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The On‑site Technology Management Team will execute the Official Hospitality Program, coordinate vendors, and lead technology operations across all activity areas. Responsibilities Serve as on‑floor technology lead for assigned areas (front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house, premium spaces, control rooms). Plan, design, deliver, implement, test, operate, decommission, and reinstate technology services and solutions for competition or non‑competition venues. Integrate technical and operational spaces, power, network, and equipment into venue project planning. Implement overall venue operations technology strategy (access control, production, audio/visual, network infrastructure). Monitor critical systems and proactively identify and resolve potential issues; act as first escalation point for incidents. Respond to and resolve on‑site technology support requests during events, providing hands‑on troubleshooting for hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues. Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions for post‑event review. Deploy, configure, test, and maintain event‑critical equipment; perform quick swaps or repairs to minimize downtime. Support vendor load‑in/load‑out activities, ensuring adherence to SOWs, schedules, and venue protocols. Escalate vendor performance or scope of issues to the Senior Venue Technology Manager. Manage system checks, testing, and setup ahead of events; assist with rehearsals, dry runs, and operational readiness reviews. Assist with temporary builds, activations, and special event setups. Track inventory, storage, and asset control; ensure proper return, charging, and storage of equipment. Report status and completion of vendor work to the Senior Venue Technology Manager. Maintain compliance with venue technology standards and policies, and respond to support requests during standard operating hours. Document and track recurring issues for root‑cause analysis, and provide real‑time updates during events. Contribute to post‑event incident summaries and lessons learned. Support access‑control devices throughout the village and venue. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience managing on‑site/field technology support and project management, preferably in ticket/hospitality industry with major sporting events. Project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technology concepts to technical and non‑technical teams. Deep understanding of integrated technologies delivering a smooth venue experience for guests and staff. Proven success delivering complex, mission‑critical technology programs and managing operations through third‑party vendors. Knowledge of IT and telecommunications, including Wi‑Fi, network cabling, and troubleshooting. Experience delivering production IT services in high‑availability environments with SLAs/OLAs. Experience managing third‑party suppliers in multi‑vendor environments. Proficiency in desktop and mobile OS platforms (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux) and Microsoft Office 365. Willow to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment for high‑profile international projects. Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish preferred. Prior experience at World Cups, Commonwealth Games, Euros, or Olympic Games desirable. Preferred Qualifications Experience in ticketing, travel, or hospitality industry. Experience with audio/visual systems, configuration, and troubleshooting. Compensation & Benefits Weekly rate: $2,200 (40 hours per week).
