12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The ICU unit provides critical care for patients with life-threatening conditions requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. Our nursing team plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care, managing complex cases, and ensuring optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 2 or 3 patients based on unit needs.
• Perform titration of critical drips, including Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin.
• Utilize advanced monitoring techniques and equipment such as BiPap, Cpap, and mechanical ventilation.
• Provide care for critically ill patients with sepsis, acute MI, renal complications, and post-vascular procedures.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including hospitalists, to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ICU nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in critical care.
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, or Impella preferred.
• Must have the ability to float to stepdown units when necessary.
• No travel duos accepted.
