About this Role The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University seeks outstanding postdoctoral fellow applicants to lead innovative research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, and drug discovery. In addition to carrying out research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations. What you’ll do Independently conduct research in the integration of artificial intelligence in synthetic biology and drug discovery Present experimental results and project updates at internal meetings, and contribute to recommending next steps for experiments. Take an active role in strategy discussions related to projects. Maintain a high level of expertise through continuous engagement with scientific literature Mentor, or train less experienced team members or academic interns, as needed. Additional Information Deadline: July 8, 2026 Duration: One-year term position from date of hire, with possibility of extension contingent upon work performance, business need, and continued funding. Salary and Benefits Salaried position with benefits eligibility. Salary determined by number of years post-PhD. Basic Qualifications Ph.D. holder, with excellent track record of research Ability to work independently, meet specific goals and milestones, and serve as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
