Sr. Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical EngineerDeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Senior Electrical Engineer position. The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide advanced engineering knowledge and consultation in developing electrical system solutions for customer needs, while working closely with Project Managers, Electrical Estimators, Field Superintendents, and other engineering disciplines. Projects are wide-ranging and may include but are not limited to the following systems: power distribution, building/HVAC control, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, equipment replacements, and electrical infrastructure upgrades. The Senior Electrical Engineer is expected to serve as a technical leader on projects and mentor less-experienced engineers.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop effective solutionsServe as an SME technical resource for electrical engineering design, retrofits, repairs, and replacement projectsConduct field audits of electrical equipment to identify potential issues, document findings, and recommend corrective actionsPrepare engineered drawings, equipment selections and reports in a timely mannerMaintain relationships with existing customers, while developing new relationshipsWork collaboratively with project managers, estimators, superintendents, and other engineering disciplinesDevelop relationships with our customer's organizations which may include the facility manager, project managers, or purchasing agentDetermine client needs and develop an engineered solutionMaintain a sufficient and current knowledge of products, codes, and design criteria (Continuing Education)Follow up with project managers on the status of engineered workRelay prospective solutions to clients and internal managers with strong oral and written communication skillsEncourage and incorporate feedback from clients during and after project completionAttend company meetings to discuss work in progress, budget plans, business plans, and marketing plans on agreed-upon schedulesComply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programsQualifications10+ years of electrical engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in OH, KY, IN, or the ability to gain reciprocityBachelor's degree in engineeringProficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office productsExperience performing or supporting arc flash studies and infrared thermography inspectionsGeneral knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systemsExperience using Computer Aided Design (C.A.D.) programs like Revit, AutoCADAbility to travel up to 40% locally, as well as consistent on-site support in the Columbus officePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
