Clinical Support Coordinator (FSP)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Clinical Support Coordinator (FSP) will oversee, train, mentor, and facilitate growth opportunities for paraprofessional employees (case coordinators, rehabilitation specialists, client advocates, etc.) providing mental health services. This position will coordinate and supervise appropriate clinical practices and services in collaboration with the appropriate staffing to meet client's treatment needs. This position provides guidance and evaluation of staff providing direct client services and follow individual program specific requirements. The position develops, delivers, and coordinates relevant training in appropriate clinical practices and treatment methods. The individual must have the ability to work effectively with others, manage personnel and program issues as they apply to the position, and coordinate services with the LACDMH/DCFS, schools, and other community partners for the purposes of outreach, engagement, and provision of services. Must have working knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) clinical paperwork and CA Title 22 FFA and California's Child Welfare Continuum of Care Reform. This role may hold a small caseload. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD and/or license eligible PsyD/PhD, AMFT, ACSW, or APCC Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred Strong clinical assessment and triage skills Strong interpersonal skills Good organizational and communication skills as well as time management Self-directed and effective in problem solving and managing multiple demands and objectives. Demonstrates time management skills; ability to orient, schedule, and coordinate staff Closely collaborate with DCFS and Probation for children in the child welfare system Two or more years of direct practice experience working with children, adolescents, and families Knowledge of multidisciplinary team approach and CA Share Core Practice Model Experience in providing field based and intensive home services Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise assigned staff and approve clinical progress notes, staff billing, and reimbursements monitor productivity, and provide ongoing supervision and staff development Attend pertinent client treatment meetings, Treatment Team Meetings, and IEP meetings for youth to support staff as needed. Conduct Assessments for new referrals as needed Ensure that client service hour expectations are met for direct report supervisees Implement performance action when the supervisee falls below the agency set expectation. Ensure that all paperwork is complete, accurate, and paperwork deadlines are met. Provide 24-hour availability for crisis intervention to supervisees and as needed for clients Ensure effective communication channels and ensure others have necessary information Support with client placement disruptions, as clinically appropriate, and assist in client placement stability for clients in involved with Child Welfare and Probation departments Attend monthly community meetings relevant to agency contracts and per agency requirements Ability to complete all paperwork in a timely manner Maintain standards of confidentiality Maintain positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner Sensitivity to working with culturally diverse populations Develop, deliver, and coordinate relevant trainings in appropriate clinical practices and treatment methods to support employee growth and ongoing knowledge Provide education and outreach to community resources to benefit our clients Facilitate and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with community partners, LAC DMH personnel, LAUSD, school personnel at designated school sites, and within the Outpatient Department as appropriate Knowledge and utilization of EHRS internal system Utilize computer applications in a Windows environment such as Microsoft Word and Excel Attend regularly scheduled agency wide meetings, utilization review meetings, community and other meetings as required or assigned Conduct all functions in accordance with agency guidelines, policies, and procedures Comply with applicable agency contracts, professional licensing or certification requirements and ethics Arrange work schedule or required hours to the benefit of the program Perform other assigned duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the agency Physical Activity Reaching, Standing, Typing, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion Sedentary work.
