divh2Patient Scheduler/h2pThe Patient Scheduler is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls to efficiently schedule appointments for an assigned patient population. This role also includes performing various administrative tasks such as receptionist duties, clerical support, record-keeping, and other essential functions to ensure seamless patient access and quality care in an outpatient medical setting./ppCore Essential Responsibilities:/pulliRegister, schedule, and reschedule appointments for the assigned patient population, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of all clinic visits./liliManage and coordinate patient referrals to other healthcare providers and services to ensure comprehensive care./liliConfirm all scheduled clinic appointments daily to ensure accuracy and prevent scheduling conflicts./liliOrder, prepare, and generate appropriate medical records for each patient visit, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records./liliReceive, screen, and coordinate telephone calls from healthcare providers and assist with any inquiries or scheduling requests./liliAssist in maintaining and updating provider contact details, including addresses and phone numbers, for smooth operations./liliReceive and review incoming correspondence, forwarding it to the appropriate staff as needed for timely processing./liliEnter and update patient information, appointment details, special instructions, and jurisdiction data into the system daily./liliPerform a variety of administrative duties such as answering phones, making outgoing calls, faxing, filing confidential documents, and utilizing basic internet and email functions./liliPerform other administrative, scheduling, and patient access-related duties as assigned to support clinic operations, including handling cancellations, assisting with special projects, and coordinating with billing and insurance departments./li/ulpRequirements:/ppRequired Education Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required./liliOne to two years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred./liliExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic, is strongly preferred./liliPrior experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or front office administrative work in a clinical environment is a plus./li/ulpRequired Certificates, License or Registration:/pulliNone/li/ulpRequired Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:/pulliKnowledge of patient registration procedures, insurance verification, and healthcare billing practices./liliFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EPIC) systems and medical terminology./liliUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality and data accuracy./li/ul/div
