Fork Lift OperatorGeneral Purpose: Safely operate a forklift to move and build pallets in preparation for product shipmentEssential Functions:Review daily schedule and report to work areaPerform forklift pre-inspections and report operational problems to the Team LeaderOperate forklift in compliance with proper operating instructions and safety proceduresRefuel forklift at end of shift and/or as neededTroubleshoot minor forklift operation issues and make adjustmentsLocate and retrieve products to build pallets manually and/or with forklift in preparation for shippingMove pallets with forklift to staging areaMay use electric or manual pallet jack to move productsGather and assemble specific customer ordersManually lift boxes ranging in weight from 1 lb. to 80 lbs. to build approximately 28 pallets per dayUse shrink wrapping machine to prepare pallets for shippingPalletize boxes maintaining a pace commensurate with daily scheduleUtilize scanner to locate inventory and maintain inventory trackingPlace proper labels on pallets and boxes according to company procedurePerform work in a fast paced environment, maintain production and quality requirementsMaintain proper housekeeping of area and equipmentPerform all other duties as assignedEducation/Experience/License/Certification:Forklift CertificationPallet jack certificationU.S. Employment: If you have any difficulty using our on-line system, you may use the alternative method described below to contact someone about your interest in employment at Sugar Foods Corporation.
