Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg-Neuro12-hour Day shifts with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend work is required every other weekend.Contract lengths ranging from 20 weeks up to a hard stop of February 27, 2027. The expected patient to nurse ratio is 1:6.Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience.Travel experience: Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts; first-time travelers are not accepted.Required certifications: BCLS, NIH/NIHSS; ACLS preferred.Experience with EPIC charting is required.Experience with IV starts, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and care of stroke and other neuro/neurosurgical diagnoses.Assessing and managing the care of patients with neuroscience diagnoses.Implementing and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.Monitoring and interpreting vital signs and telemetry data.Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.Educating patients and families on health management and discharge planning.Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan care.All requests for time off must be pre-approved. The initial posting prohibits RTO after booking, with a requirement to work 2 of 3 major holidays. Orientation is 36 hours long. Compliance with pre-start testing is necessary within 48 hours of signing.
