CLERK, FLOWER SHOP PT

Seasonal Flower Shop Position

Responsible for all flower shop duties. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission; values and operating principles of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Miami.

Essential functions include:

• Receives daily flower deliveries, prepares and properly stores the flowers.
• Assists in preparing all weekly, monthly and special occasion floral arrangements for grave/mausoleum placement.
• Must keep all areas of work clean and free of debris.
• Assists with cleaning all flower buckets to prepare for the new week.
• Must be available for all Holiday and Special events that the cemetery may have.
• Must record all flower sales and flower contracts for both cemeteries in the cash register.
• Reconcile and submit cash register money daily.

Other duties include:

• Provides orientation to new employees as needed.
• Maintain your required license, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
• Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

May serve as an interim department leader depending on need.

Physical requirements include:

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stairs or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Knowledge & experience requirements include:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Completion of floral arrangement course
• Must have knowledge of computer office software
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
